2-Way solar pump unit with air vent, high efficiency solar circulating pump and built-in controller. Up to 40 l/min.

 
The unit with 1” (180 mm) solar circulating pump, fully assembled and tested, consists of:
 
 

RETURN:

  • Flowmeter with flow regulation with filling and draining valves.
  • High efficiency Stratos Tec ST PWM circulating pump with Molex connector.
  • Flanged 3-way ball valve with non return valve 10 mbar (which can be excluded by rotating the handle by 45°) supplied with in-handle thermometer (coded blue, range 0°C-120°C).
  • Security unit 6 bar with manometer ø50 mm 0-10 bar with 3/4” Male connection to the expansion vessel.
 

SUPPLY:

  • Flanged ball valve with non return valve 10 mbar (which can be excluded by rotating the handle by 45°) supplied with in-handle thermometer (coded red, range 0°C-120°C).
  • Air vent made of brass provided with manual vent valve.
  • Pipe with end connection.

 

Pre-wired ModvSol 4 solar controller including 3 x TT/S2 silicone temperature sensors. Power supply cable fitted with Schuko plug, pump supply cable fitted with Molex connector.

 
Centre distance 125 mm. EPP insulation box (Measurements: 308x434x169).
A special back plate fixes the unit to the insulation box and it allows a quick fitting to the wall or to the solar cylinder.
 
PN 10. Constant maximum operating temperature of 120°C with short term operating temperatures (max 20 sec) up to 160°C possible.
External connections: 22 mm compression, 3/4” Male or 1” Male.

     2-Way solar pump unit with air vent, high efficiency solar circulating pump and

     built-in controller with the function of energy counter

    The pump unit, supplied with 1” solar circulating pump (180 mm) fully assembled
    and tested, is different from the above model in the VFS digital sensor flow 20-40
    l/min) suitable to count simultaneously the flow and the return way temperature.
    These data, together with those supplied by an additional supply sensor, allow the
    ModvSol 4 controller to count the energy produced by the solar installation and to
    “certify” the thermic efficiency, In that way it’ll be possible to get the government
    loans and incentives.
    PN 10. Constant maximum operating temperature of 120°C with short term
    operating temperatures (max 20 sec) up to 160°C possible.
    Return way: the record of the temperature is made between 0°C and 100°C.
   (A short time up to +120°C, during which the VFS is not recording the temperature,
    is allowed). External connections: 22 mm compression, 3/4” Male or 1” Male.
 

Circulating pump

The Wilo Stratos Tec ST, circulating pump, provided with a permanent magnet motor with electronic switching (synchronous) has an efficiency of 47%, therefore it saves on power consumption with an electrical input range from a minimum of 3 W up to a maximum of 70 W.
On the contrary, a standard “non-synchronous” 7 metres circulating pump (f.i. Wilo ST 25/7), even if operated at variable speed by means of phase cutting, has a constant power consumption same as its maximum rating value (110 W). Nevertheless it has undoubtedly lower performances (at 28 l/min a lifting power of 4,8 metres against a lifting power of 6,7 metres of the Stratos Tec ST circulating pump).

 

 

    ModvSol 4 controller

    Differential temperature controller suitable for 22 different solar systems
  • 4 inputs for temperature sensors;
  • 2 inputs for multiple sensors VFS (flow and return temperature);
  • 1 modulating output to operate the speed of the standard circulating pumps, even usable as a PWM or as a 0-10 Volt output;
  • 2 relay outputs 230 VAC suitable for circulating pumps or valves; alarm signal;
  • function of accounting of the energy produced by the installation;
  • inside hardware clock.
    This controller, besides the 20 hydraulic schemes of the Modvsol 3 model,
    allows to carry out systems with heat exchanger and stratification with the
    possibility to load two zones (scheme 21) or to load two tanks (scheme 22).
